About Lindsey
Lindsey Donovan is known for her enigmatic documentation of popular culture, and for finding ‘soul’ in her subjects. Her extensive travels in Japan, Europe, Africa and Hawaii (where she lived for two years) have provided her with visual stimuli and an understanding of human nature evident in her photographs. Lindsey finds great inspiration in the actual moment of shooting, capturing the essence of people.
Lindsey received her technical education at Focal Point Visual Arts Learning Centre, but she has been taking pictures since age twelve. She enjoys experimenting with different film stocks, cross-processing and digital mediums. Lindsey’s unique style has landed her an extensive portfolio including promotional headshots, model testing, portraits (including maternity), animals and documentary-style photography.
